The rent column is for very large deals of 250 kW and up, not the price of one rack. It is the monthly price per kW that CBRE, a large commercial property firm, reported in early 2026. For one rack or a few servers, use the price tool above.

An internet exchange is a spot inside a building where internet providers link their networks. More of them means more connection choices.
What does colocation cost?
A full rack is a tall cabinet with 42 slots for servers. It usually costs about $930 to $999 a month, and that includes about 2.4 kW of power. A kW (kilowatt) measures electric power, so it shows how much electricity your servers use. Sectorlink charges $930 a month for a full rack. Colocation America charges $999.
Less space costs less. Here are typical advertised prices by size:
